Title: Technical Sales Engineer
Company Description: A leading HVAC manufacturer’s representative organization for over 30 years seeks a Technical Sales Engineer. The selected candidate will provide commercial HVAC equipment and design/build construction solutions in a New Jersey/Philadelphia, PA territory.
Responsibilities Include but Not Limited to:
Generate direct revenue through the sale of premium commercial HVAC equipment and other related products and services
Develop and service both new and existing accounts including mechanical contractors, consulting engineers, and end users
Lead development, project engineering (equipment application/ project development), proposal generation, project sales, project management and closeout
Provide a consultative resource to the company’s account base, resulting in basis-of-design specifications, enhanced customer engagement and reinforcement of the company’s “expert” brand in the market
Location: New Jersey/Eastern Pennsylvania/Delaware
Qualifications:
Experience selling commercial HVAC equipment to; contractors; building owners; consulting engineers
Highly motivated to learn new technologies and new skills
Proficient in making professional, instructional presentations (to engineers and owners - product training and application)
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Results driven, goal oriented and energetic personality
Consultative decision making – must be skilled at working individually while being consultative with management and sales team on strategy and team vision
Engineering or technical background preferred, particular emphasis on mechanical systems
Basic competency with heat transfer and fluid systems; Sales experience preferred
Field and project management experience
Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities – sees problems as an opportunity to improve customer relations
Must be mechanically inclined, and should have a background with problem solving mechanical and electrical systems
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite – (Outlook, Word, Excel, Etc)
Expected local travel – New Jersey, Eastern PA, DE and to manufacturers for training or as may be required – overnight as required
Must possess a valid driver’s license
Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds
BS or Associates degree in mechanical engineering, HVAC systems, or related discipline
