Title: Utility Application Specialist
Company Description:
A highly innovative design/build full service energy conservation company seeks a Utility Application Specialist to manage and maximize rebate opportunities for energy efficiency projects in New England.
Position Summary:
The Utility Application Specialist plays a crucial role by managing and maximizing rebate opportunities for energy efficiency projects, EV charging, HVAC, and any other measures that might be opportunities. This position is responsible for identifying, tracking, and securing rebates from various utility companies and government entities. The Utility Application Specialist works closely with the project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure the successful completion of projects while optimizing available rebate incentives.
Responsibilities Include but Not Limited to:

Research and identify available rebate programs, incentives, and grants offered by the utility companies, government agencies, and other relevant entities for energy efficient projects
Document the process and workflow of individual rebate programs
Stay up to date with eligibility criteria, guidelines, and application processes for rebate programs to ensure compliance and maximize rebate opportunities
Prepare and submit accurate and complete rebate applications, ensuring all necessary documentation, data, and supporting evidence are included
Maintain a comprehensive tracking system to monitor the status of rebate application, including submission dates, approval process, and expected rebate amounts
Provide regular reports to the project teams and management on the status of the rebate
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to gather required project information and documentation, ensuring timely and accurate submission of rebate applications
Maintain organized and up to date records of all rebates related documentation, including contracts, invoices, project specifications, and correspondence with utility companies and government agencies.
Stay informed about industry trends, changes in rebate programs, and emerging incentive opportunities to proactively identify new sources of rebates and ensure competitiveness in the market
Making sure that all utility needed documents are updated and that the payment is underway and in a timely manner Submitting and tracking requests for new electrical service with the Utility Company

Locations: New London, CT or Fall River, MA
Qualifications:

Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (including MS Project) and related software
Ability to remain flexible and efficient in a fast-paced environment
Ability to make intelligent and quick decisions, work well under pressure, and when faced with unexpected occurrences or delays
Ability to effectively multitask while analyzing and solving problems
Associates degree or equivalent experience
2-5 years of experience requiring similar skills and abilities
