A leading provider of HVAC equipment solutions that represents several of the most preferred products in air distribution and central systems seeks an Estimator in the Philadelphia, PA area to contribute to the company’s continued growth. Responsibilities Include but Not Limited to:
Ensure that all estimates are submitted in a timely in professional manner
Create estimates for projects primarily involving mechanical: chillers, cooling towers, VAV boxes, boilers, air handlers, piping
Ensure that policies and procedures developed to ensure timeliness, accuracy, and quality are adhered to
Responsible for take-off and pricing of projects including labor
Prepare correspondence such as: proposals, RFI, letters of decline, etc.
Responsible for creating cost estimates consisting of materials, sub-contractors, purchased equipment, labor (start-up, service work, etc.) and other construction-related activities in bidding on or determining price of project
Prepare submittals and transmittals from estimating ensuring that documents properly identified
Assist sales with site surveys, contractor coordination, customer meetings & other activities required to secure business opportunities
Drive specific performance metrics (schedule deadlines, quality docs, accurate scope definition & cost estimates)
Location: Philadelphia, PA
Qualifications:
3 plus years’ experience estimating mechanical HVAC projects including piping
Ability to walk facilities
Technical degree or associates degree in a related field (mechanical engineering or electrical engineering degree helpful but not required)
Experience with estimating software
Must have experience with lay out piping design
Ability to do take offs, lay out piping design
Understanding of all materials that go into commercial HVAC mechanical projects
Ability to take a set of blue prints, do the take offs, pipe, footage etc.
