Responsibilities Include but Not Limited to:
Within assigned territory, partner closely with independent manufacturers’ representatives, district office and service center managers, sales colleagues, the parts team and technicians
Meet sales goals through the development of existing customers and prospecting new business
Research and actively seek out enterprise level clients
Work with service estimator to prepare cost estimates and price quotations on new work and coordinate the preparation of cost estimates on project continuations. Verify and quote prices and credit terms, prepare sales contracts for orders obtained
Perform tests and conduct surveys on competitive products in order to determine the need for product alterations or the development of new products
Identify and implement tools and resources to assist in sales efforts (e.g. energy rebates, estimated payoffs, ROI).
Plan, organize and guide projects through to completion; involve internal and external subject matter experts as needed
Territory Covered: Syracuse, Onondaga County, NY
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required; bachelor’s degree preferred
Minimum 6 years’ successful commercial HVAC sales experience
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
Experience with Salesforce or other sales tracking software
Mechanical/technical aptitude
Broad working knowledge of sales; product/service/solutions subject matter including turnkey solutions
Organization and problem solving skills and ability to manage moderately complex projects
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills with the ability to foster relationships, negotiate and influence decision makers
