One of the world’s largest providers of building management and automation solutions seeks a General Manager in Essex County, NJ. In this leadership position, you will play a significant role in the continued growth and impact on this thriving organization.
Primary Responsibility:
The results of successfully performing this role include recruiting, training and motivating the best and brightest building automation operations team, leading them to achieve monthly, quarterly and annual gross profit contribution and KPI goals.
Responsibilities Include but Not Limited to:
P&L accountability
Planning and budgeting activities to include all functional areas of the business: manpower, marketing, lead generation, sales, client fulfillment, asset management, and finance
Continuously identify opportunities leading to the improvement and expansion of the business
Innovate new ways to recruit, train and motivate talent for the operation
Identify, design and implement best practices to increase profitability
Identify new product opportunities to incorporate into the sales process
Guide financial/operational performance by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing policies and procedures
Achieve budget objectives by managing resources and expenses; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local legal/regulatory requirements as well as compliance with all company HR/Safety, Accounting, Administrative and Operational Standards and company initiatives
Ensure budgeted lead generation is achieved through all channels
Participate in the budgeting process and manage the profit and loss for each business unit
Constantly measure operational and financial performance through the use of company reporting and analysis tools

Qualifications:
Minimum of 7 years team leadership
Bachelor’s degree required and 7 years related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
Consistent track record of meeting and exceeding revenue and operational objectives
Be an exemplary leader managing with integrity in accordance with our mission, vision, and values in all actions
Experience with and knowledge of Building Automation Systems (Direct Digital Controls)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Works well under pressure and meets tight deadline
Highly computer literate with capability in email, MS Office and related business and communication tools
High level organizational and time management skills
Strong decision making and problem-solving skills
Meticulous attention to detail
