This leading organization currently has an opening for a Controls Technician in Tampa, FL.
Title: Controls Technician
Responsibilities Include but Not Limited to:
Start up, commission, re-commission customer systems that utilize pneumatic/electrical /electronic technology
Provide solutions to complex systems problems either troubleshooting the system or advising others on how to resolve problems. Work with subcontractors and other trades to ensure proper operation
Complete all required commissioning documentation. Maintain accurate As-Built drawing package and make changes in Visio, Excel, Word, as required.
Complete paperwork on-time including time sheets, expense reports, posting of work orders, on-site documentation and project status reports
Responsible for total system operation from controllers to sensors, loading software, interfacing with third party systems. Set up trends, alarms and reports and works with customer IT personnel, etc. Calibrates systems requiring basic electronic test equipment, such as multi-meters, network terminals and/ or a laptop computer
Perform static (stand-alone) and dynamic (total building interactive network) commissioning of software programming
Perform site-specific training for owner/operator on the total system
Responsible for set up of operator workstations with all associated software
Assist with project turnover to the Service Department
Location: Tampa, FLQualifications:
3+ years’ experience in the HVAC controls industry
Experience with: WebCtrl, SiteBuilder, ViewBuilder, LogicBuilder, InterOp 3.02, Alert, Draw, EDB, Eikon, Supervision, and Accel Works
Able to create, download, and troubleshoot complex HVAC system logic using WebCTRL and associated software
Thorough knowledge of TCP/IP networks including wireless technology, including layout and troubleshooting
Able to read and understand Architectural, Mechanical, and Electrical blueprints
Thorough experience with Microsoft software products to include: Outlook, Word, Excel, and other Windows products when required
Possess an excellent understanding of the operation and control of mechanical equipment and their control sequences
Possess computer and networking skills to properly maintain their laptop as well as experience in the commissioning of Ethernet and ARC Net communications
