Position Summary:
Responsible for overseeing the operations of the residential/light commercial service department including but not limited to all service work performed as well as service repairs, quoting and dispatching.
Responsibilities Include but Not Limited to:
Respond to service calls/dispatch technicians
Provide leadership to dispatcher, office personnel and technicians
Quote, purchase and schedule installation of parts and equipment
Achievement of department financial and performance goals including:
Sales and renewal of service agreements
Lead generation
Equipment sales and upgrades
Deliver excellent customer service and be primary contact for incoming and outgoing customer communication to verify satisfaction with the department’s work and determine any additional service needs
Oversee budgeting, reporting, planning, and auditing
Ensure all legal and regulatory documents are filed and monitor compliance with laws and regulations
Directly responsible for developing service operation’s developmental plans, strategies, and tactics to fulfill contractual obligations, meet or exceed company profit objectives and deliver customer satisfaction systematically and consistently
Oversee recruiting, interviewing, hiring, training, deploying and holding accountable service personnel
Establish and maintain an effective system of communication throughout the service department
Set strategic goals and conduct performance evaluations
Directly responsible for managing all service operations; dispatch, quoting, billing, job labor and material performance, and customer care functions of the company

Qualifications:
5+ years in a leadership role
Experience with and understanding of the financial operations of a HVAC business providing home services
Strong skills of: leadership; problem solving; analyses; providing direction and holding personnel accountable
Excellent technical experience with and knowledge of HVAC mechanical systems
Work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
Understanding of financial statements; ability to create / adhere to annual budget
Must have valid drivers’ license and a good driving record
Must have excellent computer skills to include e-mail, word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation tools
Ability to effectively resolve conflict with customers and co-workers
Adaptable to changes in the work environment, manages competing demands and frequent change, delays or unexpected events
