Title: Staff Accountant

Responsibilities Include but Not Limited to:
Prepare documentation for external auditors
Reconciliation of GL accounts and bank statements
Review financial statements for accuracy and legal compliance
Recommend ways to reduce costs and enhance revenue
Forecasting and budgeting expense vs cost
Assist with quarterly sales tax returns, financial statement preparation
Assist with payroll entries and accruals
Maintain fixed asset files and schedules and inventory reconciliation
Record A/R, A/P, 1099-Misc reporting
Maintain and track contracts, invoices, payments, lien release documents, and insurance policy information
Location: Fairfield, NJ
Qualifications:
Associates Degree in Accounting/Bachelors Degree preferred
Minimum 3 years’ general accounting experience
Strong mathematical and analytic skills
Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of local, county, state and federal tax regulations
Commitment to remain current on all tax regulations and requirements
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and accounting software
