Our client company has been serving the New York area for more than 60 years with professional and competitive commercial electrical services and facility maintenance services. They are a leader in general contracting with emphasis on mechanical, HVAC, building automation customized maintenance programs. Owned by one of the nation’s leaders in mechanical and electrical construction this company services over 500 maintenance and support contracts ranging in size from ten systems to hundreds.

Location based out of:  New York, NY

Responsibilities Include but Not Limited to:

  • Communicate with vendors to negotiate pricing, exchange, credit, and return of defective material
  • Planning, organizing, and controlling activities related to the procurement process
  • Track market conditions, price trends, and future markets
  • Ensure that material quality standards are kept
  • Evaluate inventory levels and ensure stock is consistent with all relevant factors
  • Ensure that any current or potential supplier has the ability to meet company demands
  • Maintain organized files and all documentation of any purchasing activity


  • Minimum 5 years industry specific (HVAC) purchasing                                                                                                   
  • Minimum 7 years either purchasing or HVAC experience
  • Exceptional skills with word processing and spreadsheet software
  • Capable of analyzing technical data
  • Excellent teamwork skills
